Skin boosters dramatically improved hydration in your skin, making your skin look plumper, brighter, and more youthful.
Skin boosters help to reverse the skin ageing process by reintroducing hyaluronic acid into the skin. Once injected, the water-loving hyaluronic acid molecules start to absorb water by up to 200 times its weight. This effect volumises the skin, bringing about profound hydration from inside out.
Our patients love this treatment as it offers them an instant and very visual rejuvenation. Skin boosters create a uniform hydration and volume all over the face, neck and eye area. We call this our “Red Carpet” treatment due to many clients selecting this treatment for events where they want to achieve an instant smoother, more luminous and glowing appearance to their skin. Although the results after one treatment are temporary, repeating the treatment 3-4 times at 2-4 week intervals can provide long term rejuvenation through a collagen stimulating effect and this effect can last for up to one year after the completion of treatments.
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar molecule in our skin. It gives our skin the plumpness and hydration associated with youthful, healthy skin. A skin booster treatment is a filler treatment using very soft hyaluronic acid delivered directly to the skin, which improves skin hydration, firmness and luminosity. At the same time, skin booster treatments help to stimulate collagen production once injected, providing long term, anti-ageing effects.
The hyaluronic acid base of the treatment can also be combined with other skin rejuvenation and corrective ingredients like Vitamin’s A, C, E, B3, as well as, antioxidant, depigmenting, and cell stimulating agents to customise and advance the effects of the treatment.

Multiple treatments can produce collagen stimulation in the treated area leading to long term anti-aging effects.
By drawing in more moisture, skin volume is improved which can lead to improvement of fine lines, especially around the eye and mouth area.
Skin booster treatments have minimal downtime which make it ideal before events or special occasions to achieve instant smoother, more luminous and glowing skin. Skin booster treatments are a genuine “lunch time” treatment.
Dermal fillers typically work by filling up volume deficiencies and lifting the skin. The structural fillers in the dermal filling family are more cross linked and firm. Dermal Fillers are great for sculpting cheeks, chins, lip borders, and enhancing lip volume. Skin boosters, on the other hand, are extremely soft. Instead of exerting mechanical effects, they work via its biochemical properties of attracting water molecules.
Because facial skin has a vast network of veins, arteries and capillaries, it is possible to bruise the skin whenever it is punctured, no matter how gently. Most clients have no bruising after this treatment, and those that do bruise indicate that the bruising is very superficial and resolves within a couple of days.
The answer to this questions is complex. To short term results, like for a special event, a single treatment can be very effective. However, for the best results, an initial course of three treatments is recommended and the results can last for up to 12 months. Depending on your unique needs, 6-monthly maintenance treatments may be required to maintain the superior hydration and skin quality provided by this treatment.
Although complications and even reactions are very rare with skin booster treatments. Every treatment involves a certain amount of risk, ranging from mild bruising to moderate or severe swelling and the very rare possibility of infection. These conditions are not permanent and will resolve quickly. Your decision to undergo any of our cosmetic procedures should be based on the risk to potential benefit ratio, and this will be explained in great detail with your cosmetic nurse.
